I am a private citizen, Disabled, Jew-ish, and Gay. I live in the United States. I am aware of the allegations of 'spying,' Snowden and the NSA, the tapping and privacy invasions of French citizens and U.S. citizens as well.
I am aware of SecState Kerry's 'reasonable-sounding' 'explanations' that go something like this: " ... make every effort to balance ... fighting terrorism ... and privacy ..." etc.
And now the allegations that your own privacy may have been violated, and it would not surprise me in the least. Look:

From the Obama Administration (Kerry inclusive) I have heard every 'reasonable sounding' soundbite and platitude known to man, every topic, every issue, nothing substantive, ever, except selling insurance, which is job-security for future generations of college grads at taxpayer expense, pushing-around paperFAKEwork, instead of providing real medical care to the needy, and/or, proving compassion to those in need; just concocted excuses to profit from the ills of The People; 'maximizing efficiency' and 'increasing productivity' is filling more hospital and prison beds, but as all know, when it comes to healthcare and justice, all beds should be empty, not full, fewer careers profiting from it, not more;
-- it's fascism 're-branded,' and our countries fought wars over it.
It's like the Twilight Zone, an excuse for everything, as long as a PhD 'signs-off' on it, then all should goose-step in lock-step with it or be labeled, deemed "disgruntled; unintelligent; inferior; mentally ill), and worse) unworthy of being heard."
It's obvious why President Obama and his political party have such opinions and policies toward Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and everywhere else, especially Israel, because any 'reasonable-sounding' soundbite and platitude will 'appease' while he sells insurance. That's all he cares about, building the most expensive, most massive in history, giant "monument unto self" called, "Obamacare," like King Saul, who memorized all the 'words' to 'appease,' winning 'hearts and minds' because he was tall and handsome and said "nice, reasonable-sounding things."
I do not hate him; I do not know him as a person; but he does not walk in the figurative shoes of "the people," only those 'future college grads' who will "get rich quick" from his sales-job, at the expense of AllThings (definition of 'everybody' and 'everything' else, e.g., g*d).
PLEASE STAND UP FOR ME
This is the 'land of ...' fake; fake freedom; fake free-speech; fake no-censorship; fake free-associations; fake 'privacy rights,' fake equality, and now a sales-job to censor and spy neighbor-against-neighbor. With 'friends' like that, who needs enemies?
I am urging you, and France, and any others whose privacy, whose friendships, have been violated, in any way, to make a big stand; cancel contracts, close embassies, disallow SecState Kerry from your lands for two years. They won't stop until they're stopped; and every 'reasonable-sounding' explanation/excuse, is 'practice' for their next sales-job. And that will hurt Euro economy more than Obama's monument unto self.
Have you read the TaNaKh, the Torah? The writings? Have you read the Hebrew version of King Saul? I am no zealot, but there are timeless messages of wisdom there.
Let the friendships between our two countries, our peoples, not be divided.
